In the city center, the shopping center New Center was built. The covered passage offers attractive wholesale and retail shops on 9000 square meters of floor space. There are also cultural events and innovative ideas of the business world make for unusual shopping experiences.
Around the New Center, the selection and quality of the purchase offer has grown steadily and become more attractive. Numerous cafes and restaurants invite you to socialize.

In the upper Klever district, the Tönnissen Center and the EOC meet the modern shopping needs. There are department stores, clothing and specialty shops, drugstores, discounters and cafes.

In the Oberstadt area, customers can find over 30,000 m2 of supermarkets and large chains in the EOC, the elephant-Oberstadtcentrum. Here, the famous elephant shoes were made for years. Nearly 600 free parking spaces allow for quick shopping and if you still feel like a little trip into the past, you can visit the shoe museum in the former administrative building of the factory.

Every day of the week there is a market in Kleve. At 16 districts not surprising. The central markets are the Saturday market at the Linde car park and the farmer's market at Haus Riswick, which offers the products of local producers every Thursday.

The long shopping street is connected to the city bus, which transports customers from the EOC through the pedestrian zone to the station.

Visit the market on Carlsplatz: Here you will find regional specialties and goods from all parts of the world, as in all markets in Düsseldorf. Old books, records, pieces of furniture and other treasures are offered by the numerous flea markets and flea markets.

Cosmetics, hairdressers, pharmacies, bakers, butchers and catering companies ensure that the Pempelfortern in their district lacks nothing.

More than 7,000 Japanese live in Dusseldorf. The Japanese district is located around the Immermannstraße. From Japanese food and books to kimonos and vases you will find almost everything the Japanese heart desires for your daily needs.

The shopping district for art lovers is directly adjacent to the old town: the Carlstadt offers historic flair and a large collection of exclusive antique shops, jewelry shops, galleries and art shops.

If you like it less expensive and just want to fill up your wardrobe, is on the Schadowstraße in good hands. It is one of the top-selling and most visited shopping street in Germany. Numerous department stores and shops line both sides of the street, which connects directly to the Königsallee. The well-known fashion chains, department stores and especially shoe stores offer a huge selection.

It is considered the most exclusive kilometer of Germany, a trademark of Düsseldorf and is a must for every visitor: the renowned Königsallee, also affectionately called "Kö". On the splendor boulevard are the branches of all renowned noble designers at home, even high-class jewelers, perfumeries, porcelain and antique shops leave hardly a luxury wish unfulfilled. In the shopping malls on and near the Kö can also be window shopping on rainy days. Conversely, on sunny days: just out! Sitting in one of the sidewalk cafes, you can easily watch strollers.
